It's an honor today to recognize Memorial Day and those, including friends and family members of our WNY Startup Community, who have given their lives in active military service. We are deeply grateful for the sacrifices of those who have helped secure and sustain the blessing of the freedoms we enjoy today.

Participants will need a Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number in order to collect any prize money awarded. Deadline: June 7, 2024 Requirements: Winners must provide 43North with 5% equity in your company in the form of a warrant. Winners must also agree to locate your CEO and 50% of your staff in Buffalo for at least 12 months as well as participate in monthly programming. https://www.goodneighbor.fund/

On Freedom
Freedom is a precious and fragile gift. Every time we hear, watch, or read the news, we are reminded that liberty is a rare commodity in this world.
Memorial Day is not only a time to remember and reflect that freedom is not bought cheaply. It has a cost and imposes a burden. And just as they whom we commemorate were willing to sacrifice, so too must we—in a less final, less heroic way—be willing to give of ourselves.
I am grateful for each of you, and I hope you have a peaceful and refreshing Memorial Day.
