Buffalo Startup Week 2023 Reaches 1,750 Attendees

This month, the WNY Startup Community got together to learn, connect, and celebrate during the biggest startup event of the year - Buffalo Startup Week (404 Link Removed)

Buffalo Startup Week is just one way how BootSector gives first. So we put together a special newsletter to celebrate this fantastic event, the hard work that went into it, and the impact it had on the community.

But there's still plenty of work to be done. And BootSector Board Member, Jack Greco would know better than most →

“Buffalo is a place where we still have a lot of nodules – a lot of little things going on – but we're not 'there' yet.”

“Since Covid, there's not that critical mass that has the gravity to pull people together. Having life inside that ecosystem is really important, and it all works around this concept of together.”

So what can we do to solve that? Meet BootSector.

BootSector is an all-volunteer, grassroots non-profit that wants to make WNY the best startup community in the U.S.

And how does BootSector do that?

BootSector amplifies the impact of WNY startup community leaders by providing infrastructure, events, and places to connect.

But we need your help!

BootSector is funded through the generosity of our volunteers, individual donors, and event sponsors. It's incredible what we've been able to accomplish, and there's so much more we want to do.

We're looking for additional financial support - whether it's a one-time donation, a corporate sponsorship, or a grant opportunity - we need you to help build our startup community. Make a donation! Ask about sponsorship! Tell us about a grant!

BootSector is looking for passionate board members that can open doors and make an impact on the WNY Startup Community. I'm interested in being a board member! Board Members - I know someone!

BootSector needs to upgrade our tech tools in order to provide easy-to-access resources for every entrepreneur in WNY. In particular, we're looking for help rebuilding our website to be more user-friendly. We also want to automate parts of our tech stack to allow us to focus on higher-impact projects. I've got some technical skills and I want to give back!
