The goal of the competition is to provide a unique opportunity for businesses that are challenged by the need to secure access to capital to help such businesses grow and provide services.

Collaborative Crowdfunding

Annabella Bogart (404 Link Removed) is hosting an event called Buffalo SOUP on May 3rd, 2023 from 6-9 at Thin Man Brewery on Elmwood!

Buffalo SOUP promises a meal, live music, and a vote to give seed funding collected at the event to one of four entrepreneurs, nonprofits, or initiatives designed to make Buffalo a better place.

Please consider stopping by the event, and if you have a project that needs some funding to get off the ground, reach out to possibly present at the event!

Parting Thoughts

Wisdom is Practical

The Greeks had a word for good judgment: phronesis.

I think of phronesis as the ability to do the right thing, at the right time, for the right reason. In other words, phronesis is practical wisdom.

Every virtue can be practiced to the extremes. For example, courage is a virtue; recklessness is a vice. Phronesis is finding the middle.

And the best way to develop this practical wisdom is through action. Make decisions, See how they go. And then alter your behaviors so you make wiser choices the next time around.
